Dyeing ERP software for process houses and dye works

eManage Dyeing ERP is process and accounts software for fabric and yarn dye houses. It controls lab-approved recipes locked to the shade lot, dye and chemical consumption per batch, re-dyeing and right-first-time by shade, and per-kilo job-work billing with ITC-04. It is implemented on site by the eManage team from Ludhiana, Punjab.

WHY PLANTS SWITCH

Sound familiar? eManage fixes all four

A dye house loses money when the bulk recipe drifts from the lab dip, when chemicals go to the floor without a batch to charge them to, and when re-dyeing is not counted. This edition makes every batch answer for its recipe, its chemicals and its shade result.

Recipes copied by hand

Lab recipes are rewritten on batch cards, and the scaled quantities are worked out at the machine.

Re-dyeing cost hidden

Reprocessed batches are absorbed into totals, so right-first-time is a guess.

Chemicals issued in bulk

Dyes and chemicals go to the floor without a link to the batch that used them.

Job-work billing by memory

Party fabric, shortages and process charges are reconciled at month end.

Here is how Dyeing ERP handles each of these.

WHAT IT HANDLES

eManage covers every control point of a dyeing unit

WHAT CHANGES

What changes on the floor with eManage

The people and machines stay the same. Each movement is recorded where it happens, so the owner reads a screen instead of waiting for the month-end register.

How eManage Dyeing ERP works, stage by stage

Lab & recipe

One approved recipe per shade, scaled to the batch

  1. 1

Lab dips are recorded against the customer's shade card. The approved recipe stores substrate, liquor ratio and process sequence.

  2. 2

The recipe scales to the planned batch weight. Chemical requirement is checked against store stock before the batch is loaded.

  3. 3

Any floor change to the recipe is a revision. It carries the dyer's name, so the lab sees why bulk differed.

Recipe locked to the shade lot

Dyeing ERP, One approved recipe per shade, scaled to the batch

Dye house

Batch card, weighed chemicals, one shade result

  1. 1

The batch card goes to the machine with the recipe. The chemical store weighs and issues against the card, not a verbal request.

  2. 2

Add-ons, re-dyeing and stripping are recorded on the same card. True cost and RFT of the batch are known at unloading.

  3. 3

Finishing passes record width, GSM and shrinkage per lot. The finished roll tag carries shade, batch and customer lot.

RFT by shade, machine and dyer

Job work

Bill by kilo, settle shortage by lot

  1. 1

Greige is weighed into stock by lot on the customer's challan. The customer's own lot number stays on it through the process.

  2. 2

Dyed fabric is weighed out and invoiced per kilo. Shade, lot and the agreed charge rate are on the invoice.

  3. 3

Process loss per lot is compared with the agreed allowance. The shortage statement goes out with the invoice.

FAQ

eManage Dyeing ERP questions

Something specific to your unit? Ask an implementation lead.

We dye only on job work. Does it handle customer-owned stock?

Yes. Greige received from each customer is held as their stock, lot by lot, and is never mixed with your own. The process invoice, shortage statement and job-work challan records are prepared from the receipt and return entries, and ITC-04 is reported per customer from the same challans without re-entry.

How does GST work for process charges?

Dyeing and processing on job work is billed as a service at the applicable GST rate. eManage raises the process-charge invoice with e-invoice and the e-way bill for the returned fabric, and GSTR returns pick it up from the same transactions. Customer-owned material is reported on ITC-04 from the challans.

Can we migrate from Tally and our Excel batch register?

Yes. Party, item and ledger masters with opening balances are imported from Tally, and recipes, shade cards and open customer lots are loaded from Excel at go-live. You can run accounts in eManage, or keep Tally for final accounts and export vouchers from eManage. The mapping is done on site during implementation.

We have six jet machines and one stenter. Is this too big a system for us?

No. Units with a handful of machines run the same edition. Batch cards and chemical issue are entered from one terminal in the dye house, and the lab module can be switched on later. Go-live is typically 4 to 6 weeks on site, and larger process houses add a terminal per machine block.

What does Dyeing ERP cost?

Pricing depends on the number of users, the modules you switch on and whether you run it on the cloud or your own server. It is quoted as a licence plus a one-time implementation fee after a demo on your own shade cards and batch cards. Call +91 98156 23402 or write to info@emanage.in for a quote.

Can it tell us which shades keep failing?

Yes. Every batch records its shade result, add-ons, re-dyeing and stripping, so right-first-time is reported by shade, substrate, machine and dyer for any period. The recipe and batch control guide at emanage.in/dyeing-erp-recipe-batch-control explains how the batch card is set up to capture this.
