Weaving ERP software for looms, from beam to graded piece

eManage Weaving ERP is production and accounts software for loom sheds and fabric mills. It controls warp beam planning from the sort, beam-to-loom tracking with loom-wise efficiency, four-point grey inspection by piece, and job-work weaving with ITC-04. It is implemented on site by the eManage team from Ludhiana, Punjab.

Sound familiar? eManage fixes all four

A weaving unit runs on beams. If you cannot see which beam is on which loom, how many metres it has left and what the inspection graded, your planning is a guess. This edition is built around the beam.

Beam plans on a calculator

Warping and sizing quantities are worked out by hand from the sort card for every order.

Loom efficiency unknown

Picks, stoppages and weaver output are noted on paper and rarely analysed.

Grading not linked to billing

Pieces are graded at the inspection table, but invoices are raised without the grade.

Job-work looms untracked

Beams sent to outside weavers are followed up by phone.

Here is how Weaving ERP handles each of these.

WHAT IT HANDLES

eManage covers every control point of a weaving unit

8 controls that come built into Weaving ERP, each tied to the same lot, order and ledger.

WHAT CHANGES

What changes on the floor with eManage

The people and machines stay the same. Each movement is recorded where it happens, so the owner reads a screen instead of waiting for the month-end register.

How eManage Weaving ERP works, stage by stage

Planning

From sort card to warp beam without a calculator

  1. 1

The sort order converts into warp beam requirements. Ends, length, warp yarn lots and weft per metre are computed from the construction.

  2. 2

Warping and sizing orders carry the recipe. Size pick-up and chemical use are recorded against the beam.

  3. 3

Beams in stock, in sizing and on loom are listed together. Loom allocation is done on what is ready.

Loom shed

Every loom reports; every doff becomes a numbered piece

  1. 1

Shift production is logged per loom with picks and stops. Efficiency and stop reasons are available by loom, shift and sort.

  2. 2

A doff creates a numbered grey piece. Length and loom reference are on it, and the tag prints at the loom or folding table.

  3. 3

Beam balance updates with every doff. The shed in-charge sees the expected date of the next beam change.

Quality & dispatch

Grade at the inspection table, bill by the grade

  1. 1

Inspectors record defects by code and position. The system assigns the grade on the four-point scale you configure.

  2. 2

Grey stock is held by sort, grade and piece. A customer asking for A-grade only is answered from the screen.

  3. 3

Packing lists, metre-wise invoices and e-way bills come from the pieces selected. Nothing is re-entered at dispatch.

FAQ

eManage Weaving ERP questions

Something specific to your unit? Ask an implementation lead.

Is it suitable for a power-loom unit with 24 to 48 looms?

Yes. Loom-wise production can be entered per shift from a single terminal or a tablet in the shed. Beam and piece tracking works the same for 24 looms as for 400; larger sheds add a tablet per block and a scale at the folding table. Go-live is typically 4 to 6 weeks on site.

How does it handle sizing recipes and chemicals?

Each sort carries a sizing recipe. Sizing orders consume chemicals from stock against the beam, so size cost and pick-up are known per beam and per sort. If the recipe is changed on the floor, the revision is recorded with the operator's name, and the chemical store issues only against the sizing order.

We give yarn to outside weavers on job work. Is that tracked?

Yes. Yarn or beams go to the outside weaver on a job-work challan with lot and weight. Grey pieces are received against that challan, shortage beyond the agreed allowance is reported per weaver, and ITC-04 is prepared from the same entries. The weaver's conversion bill is checked against the received metres.

Can we keep Tally for accounts?

Yes. Party, item and ledger masters with opening balances are imported from Tally, and sort masters and beam registers are loaded from Excel at go-live. You can run accounts in eManage, or keep Tally for final accounts and export sale and purchase vouchers from eManage. The ledger mapping is done during implementation.

What does Weaving ERP cost?

Pricing depends on the number of users, the modules you switch on and whether you run it on the cloud or your own server. It is quoted as a licence plus a one-time implementation fee after a demo on your own sort cards and loom sheets. Call +91 98156 23402 or write to info@emanage.in for a quote.

We also knit. Do we need two systems?

No. Knitting ERP and Weaving ERP are editions of the same platform. A unit that runs both uses one database, one yarn stock and one set of accounts, with KPOs and beams planned from the same sale orders. The production visibility guide at emanage.in/knitting-weaving-erp-production-visibility covers both floors.
