What is eManage ERP?
eManage is manufacturing ERP software made in Ludhiana since 2000. It has 12 industry editions, six for textile and six for engineering plants, which share one database for sales, planning, purchase, production, quality, inventory, costing, accounts, GST and payroll. A sale order entered once drives every department, and four Android apps extend it to the gate, store, approvals and QC.
Which industries does eManage have editions for?
Textile: garment, knitting, weaving, dyeing, spinning and woolen. Engineering: fastener, hand tool, auto component, sheet metal, tractor parts and railway parts. Each edition ships with the masters, routings, documents and reports of that trade, such as KPO and roll weighing for knitting or heat lots and PPAP records for auto components. A vertical unit can run two or three editions together.
Which modules are included in every edition?
Every edition includes sales and delivery schedules, planning and MRP from the BOM, purchase, GRN and job work with ITC-04, production and WIP, quality with holds and test certificates, inventory at lot, roll, heat or rack level, costing, accounts and GST, and HR with piece-rate payroll. The edition changes the masters and documents; the core is the same.
Can eManage handle piece-rate wages and contractor labour?
Yes. Operator output is captured at the production entry, by barcode scan or manual entry, and wages are computed from the piece-rate master. Contractor and company workers are kept separate, and the same entries feed ESI, PF and the monthly wage sheet, so the wage register and the production register always agree.
Does eManage work on mobile?
Yes. Four Android apps run on ordinary phones and rugged tablets: eGate for gate passes and vehicle logs, eWarehouse for racks, barcodes and tag printing, eDoc Approval for PO and challan sign-off, and Garment eQC for inline and final inspection. Owners read the day's reports in a browser on their phone.
Is eManage customised for each client?
Yes. Every installation starts from the edition for your trade and is customised to your plant during the process study: masters, routings, documents, print formats, approval routes, reports and connected scales or weighbridges. Where something is genuinely specific to your plant, eManage builds it and keeps it inside the product, so later releases and GST updates do not break it.
Can we ask for changes after go-live?
Yes. A new process, a second plant, a new buyer format or a new report is set up by the same engineers who implemented the system. Changes are kept in the product, so they carry forward through updates.
Compared with other software
How eManage differs from Tally, generic ERPs and software built from scratch.
3 questions
How is eManage different from Tally?
Tally is accounting software: books, GST and basic stock. eManage is manufacturing ERP customised for each plant: production, lots, job work, quality, costing and dispatch, with accounts included. Plants can run fully on eManage or keep Tally for the books. The full comparison is at emanage.in/emanage-vs-tally.
How is eManage different from a generic ERP?
A generic ERP is configured for a trade during the project, usually by a partner. eManage starts with an edition for your trade and is customised to your plant by its own engineers, so the project time goes into your process rather than building the trade. See emanage.in/emanage-vs-generic-erp.
How does eManage compare with SAP Business One, Oracle NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics 365?
Those are general-purpose ERPs, usually implemented through partners who configure them for each industry. eManage starts from an edition built for your textile or engineering trade and is customised to your plant by its own engineers on site, with Indian GST, job work, ITC-04 and piece-rate wages standard. Pricing & licensing
How the quote is built, what it includes and how licences are counted.
5 questions
How much does eManage cost?
eManage does not publish a price list because the figure depends on the edition, the number of users and locations, and whether you host on the cloud or on a server in the plant. A written quote follows a short process study, and it covers licences, implementation and training together. The demo and the study are free.
How is eManage licensed?
One licence covers the desktop, web and Android apps for a plant; the mobile apps are not bought separately. Users are counted as named or concurrent, as agreed in the quote, and a second company or unit on the same database is added to the existing licence rather than purchased again.
Is there an annual support charge, and what does it include?
Yes. Annual support covers phone and WhatsApp support from the named engineer, product updates, and the statutory changes for GST, TDS, ESI and PF that are released to every plant. It is quoted alongside the licence so the cost of the first year and the years after is clear before you sign.
Do we pay extra for implementation, training or data migration?
Implementation, on-site training for each role and migration of masters, opening stock and balances from Tally or Excel are included in the quote, not billed separately. Travel for plants outside Punjab is agreed in advance. The usual extras are barcode printers, weigh-scale integration and any hardware the plant buys.
Can we start with one module or one unit and add more later?
Yes. Many clients start with sales, stock and GST, then add production, quality and payroll once the masters are stable. Because every module shares one database, adding a module later does not mean re-entering data, and a second unit, godown or job-work party joins the same chart of accounts.
Implementation & migration
Weeks to go-live, who does the work, and moving off Tally and Excel.
5 questions
How long does it take to implement eManage?
A single-plant unit typically goes live in 4 to 6 weeks: process study in week one, configuration in weeks two and three, migration and training in weeks four and five, go-live in week six. Foundries and multi-plant groups take 6 to 10 weeks because routings and inspection plans are set up per drawing.
Who does the implementation, eManage or a partner?
eManage's own implementation engineers, based in Ludhiana. The person who does the process study on your floor configures the system, migrates the data and trains your staff. Channel partners in other regions find and support clients, but their first sites are implemented jointly with eManage engineers leading.
Can we migrate from Tally, Busy or Excel?
Yes. Masters, opening stock, outstanding balances and open orders are imported by the eManage team and reconciled to your old books before go-live. Tally can run alongside for statutory books during the first quarter if your accountant prefers; most clients retire it after the first GST filing from eManage.
How is our staff trained?
Each role is trained on its own screens, on site: the gate on gate entry, the store on GRN and issues, supervisors on production entry, accounts on GST. The first dispatches and the first GST return are done with an eManage engineer present. Manuals and short videos cover later joiners.
What do we need to prepare before implementation starts?
Clean item, party and employee masters help most, so the week-one study lists them first. You also need a decision on cloud or in-plant server, a working internet or LAN at the entry points, and barcode printers or weigh scales if you want them connected. eManage specifies the hardware after the study.
Compliance & GST
GST, e-invoice, e-way bill, ITC-04, TDS, payroll returns and export papers.
5 questions
Does eManage handle GST, e-invoice and e-way bill?
Yes. GST is computed on every sale, purchase and job-work document. E-invoice IRN and e-way bill are generated from the dispatch screen, and GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B data is ready to file or hand to your accountant. Because the figures come from the same entries as stock and dispatch, nothing is retyped into another package.
Does it cover job work and ITC-04?
Yes. Material sent to a dyer, plater, forger or stitching contractor goes out on a job-work challan, comes back against it, and the party-wise out, in, shortage and wastage is tracked. ITC-04 is prepared from those challans, and job-work charges flow to the party's account and to the order's cost.
Does eManage support TDS, ESI, PF and other statutory returns?
Yes. TDS is deducted on purchase and expense bills with the return data ready. Payroll produces ESI and PF challan data, Form 16 inputs and the wage registers. Statutory changes are released to every plant before the filing date because all clients run the same product line.
Can it produce export documents?
Yes. Commercial invoice, packing list, shipping bill details and certificate of origin are generated from the dispatch entry in the formats your forwarder and buyer expect. Garment and hand-tool exporters also get carton-wise packing lists with size, colour and style breakdowns from the same screen.
Does it keep an audit trail for inspectors and auditors?
Every document records who created, edited or approved it and when. Stock is traceable by lot, roll, heat number or batch, so a railway parts vendor can show RDSO inspectors the heat behind a dispatched part and a dyeing unit can show the recipe behind a shade lot.
Hosting, security & support
Cloud or in-plant server, backups, access control and the support line.
6 questions
Is eManage cloud-based or on-premise?
Either. Most clients run on the cloud and open it from the plant, the office and their phones. Units with restricted internet or their own security policy run it on a Windows server in the plant with the same features and the same release. Moving between the two later is a database migration, not a new implementation.
What are the system requirements?
On the cloud, a modern browser and an ordinary broadband or 4G connection. On premise, a Windows server in the plant, specified by eManage after the process study. Desktop users need a standard Windows PC; the Android apps run on ordinary phones and rugged tablets.
Is our data secure, and who owns it?
Your data is yours. Cloud installations run on encrypted servers with nightly backups; in-plant servers get a backup schedule set up during implementation. Access is role-based so the gate sees the gate and the owner sees everything, and every document carries an audit trail.
What support do we get after go-live?
A named support engineer who knows your masters and print formats, reachable by phone and WhatsApp on working days, with on-site visits when a process, product or team changes. Product updates and statutory changes are part of annual support.
How often is eManage updated, and will updates break our setup?
All clients run one product line, so releases go to every plant. Each release is tested on copies of live client databases before it ships, and configuration done for your plant, including custom formats and reports, is carried forward. Statutory updates go out before the filing date.
How do we see a demo?
Book one through the contact page, phone +91 98156 23402, or visit 91-L Model Town, Ludhiana. Bring a week of your orders, challans and registers; an implementation engineer runs them on eManage, online or at your plant. The demo and the process study that follows are free.
