eWarehouse: every bag, roll and box gets a rack, a bin and a tag

eWarehouse App is the stores module of eManage ERP, used by storekeepers on an Android phone or handheld scanner. It receives material against the PO, puts it away to a rack and bin the app suggests, prints a barcode tag for each bag, roll or box, and issues by scanning. What it does

What eWarehouse tracks, rack by rack

It gives every lot an address and every movement a scan. Receipt, put-away, tagging, issue, count and minimum-level alerts run from the handheld and post to the eManage stock ledger as they happen.

Godown, rack, shelf and bin with a weight limit and a zone. Every bag, roll and box has an address.

Receipt against the PO

Open the gate entry, count or weigh, and the app checks quantity and rate against the PO before it posts.

Tags at the dock

Barcode or QR tags with item, lot, quantity and bin, printed on a Bluetooth label printer as the material lands.

Issue by scanning

Pick against an indent or production order. The app points to the bin with the oldest lot first.

Physical verification

Count rack by rack by scanning tags. Differences go to the stores head before any adjustment posts.

Minimum-level alerts

Items below minimum turn red on the handheld and the ERP. Raise the purchase indent from the alert.

From dock to rack to the line on eWarehouse

In four screens: receive against the PO, put away to the suggested bin, print a tag per bag, and issue by scan against the indent. Each one writes to the same stock ledger.

Step 1 · Inward

Receive against the PO, not against the challan

    The storekeeper opens the gate entry. Party, PO and supplier challan are already on it from eGate.

    Each line is counted or weighed. Short supply, excess and a rate that differs from the PO are flagged on the spot.

  3. 3

    Items marked for inspection go on QC hold. Nothing on hold can be issued to the floor.

Step 2 · Put-away

The app suggests the bin, the storekeeper confirms

    Rack Master knows which zone the item belongs to and how much weight each shelf can take.

  2. 2

    The app suggests an empty bin in that zone. The storekeeper accepts it or scans another bin.

  3. 3

    Stock posts to that bin, so the ERP stock report shows rack and bin, not just the godown.

Step 3 · Tags

A tag on every bag, roll and box

    Tags print from the handheld to a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi label printer at the dock, one per bag, roll or carton.

    The tag carries item, lot or roll number, quantity, PO and bin as a barcode or QR. RFID labels are optional.

    From here on, every movement is a scan. Nobody types an item code again.

Step 4 · Issue and report

Pick by scan, see live stock everywhere

    An indent or production order creates a pick list. The app shows the bin with the oldest lot and the storekeeper scans the tags.

    The issue posts to the production order, so material consumption per order is known without a register.

  3. 3

    Rack-wise stock, lot ageing and minimum-level alerts update in the ERP the moment the tag is scanned.

What does eWarehouse App cost?

eWarehouse App is part of eManage ERP, not a separate licence. Pricing depends on the edition, the number of users and whether you host on the cloud or your own server. We quote after a free process study in your store, so the figure includes rack master set-up, tag formats and storekeeper training.

Which scanners and label printers does it support?

Any Android phone with a camera, or an Android handheld scanner with a built-in barcode engine for faster picking. Tags print to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi label printers that accept standard label languages, in 50 × 25 mm or larger formats. RFID labels are optional and need an RFID-capable printer and reader.

Does the app work when the godown has no signal?

Receipts, put-aways and issues are saved on the device and posted when Wi-Fi or 4G returns, with the original time. Bin suggestions and the live free-stock figure need the server, so most stores put one access point in each godown. Tag printing is over Bluetooth and does not need the network.

How does the Rack Master work?

You define each godown, its racks, the shelves in each rack and the bins on each shelf, with a weight limit per shelf and a zone such as yarn, trims, chemicals or finished goods. On receipt the app suggests an empty bin in the right zone with capacity to spare, and the storekeeper confirms or scans another.

Which eManage editions does eWarehouse App work with?

All 12 editions share the same stock ledger, so the app works with each. It is used most in garment and knitting units for yarn and trims, and in fastener, hand-tool, auto-component and sheet-metal plants for raw material and finished goods. Issues post to the production order in the edition you run.

How is physical stock verification done?

A count sheet is issued rack by rack. The storekeeper scans the tags in each bin, the app compares the count with book stock, and the differences are listed for the stores head to approve before any adjustment posts. Counts can run godown by godown without stopping issues elsewhere.
