Quality control software that holds the lot, not just records it

eManage quality control attaches inspection plans to items and drawings, records results at receipt, during production and before dispatch, and enforces the decision: a lot on hold cannot be issued, packed or invoiced until it is released. Results build test certificates and rejection analysis by supplier, process, machine and reason, from the same records the rest of the ERP uses.

THE PROBLEM

What goes wrong before eManage

The same gaps show up in plant after plant, long before anyone calls them a system problem.

Failed lots reach customers

Nothing stops a lot that failed inspection from being packed and invoiced.

Results on loose sheets

Inspection records cannot be found when a customer or auditor asks.

Rework cost hidden

Reprocessing and rework are absorbed into totals, so nobody sees the real cost.

No root cause

Rejections are not analysed by supplier, machine, process or operator.

WHAT IT COVERS

Everything eManage quality control covers

Plan

Inspection plans that match how you check

Each item, drawing or product family carries the checks it needs, at the stage it needs them.

  • Plans per item or drawingParameters, limits, methods and sample sizes defined once.
  • Incoming inspectionSupplier material checked against its certificate before it becomes usable stock.
  • In-process checksStage inspections tied to the job card and routing.
  • Final inspection and AQLSampling plans for final checks before packing.
  • Customer-specific requirementsExtra checks or formats for particular buyers or OEMs.

Decide

Holds that the system enforces

A quality decision is only useful if the rest of the plant has to respect it.

  • Hold and releaseHeld lots are blocked from issue, packing and invoicing.
  • Rework and reprocessRecorded as events with reasons and cost against the lot.
  • Concession approvalsAccept-on-deviation decisions recorded with approver and reason.
  • Supplier rejectionsReturned to the supplier with a debit note and reason.
  • Photos on the recordDefect photos attached from the phone, as in the Garment eQC app.

Prove

Certificates and analysis from the same data

Customers, auditors and OEMs get documents generated from lot data, not retyped.

  • Test and inspection certificatesPrinted from the lot record in the format the customer expects.
  • PPAP and stage recordsLot-level evidence kept for auto-component and railway customers.
  • Rejection analysisBy supplier, process, machine, operator and reason.
  • Right first timeShare of lots passing without rework, by process and period.
  • PPM reportingDefective parts per million for OEM scorecards.

ON THE FLOOR

How it works in eManage, step by step

Quality is checked where the work happens, and the decision travels with the lot.

  1. Receive. Incoming material is held until inspected against its plan and certificate.
  2. Produce. In-process checks are recorded on the job card at the right stage.
  3. Inspect. Final inspection is done on sampled quantities with results per parameter.
  4. Decide. The lot is released, held for rework or rejected; the decision is enforced.
  5. Certify. Certificates and inspection reports are printed from the lot record.
  6. Improve. Rejection analysis shows where the next fix should be.

FAQ

Questions about eManage quality control

Something specific to your plant? Ask an implementation lead.

What does quality control software do in an ERP?

It holds inspection plans, records results at each stage and enforces hold, release and rejection decisions on lots, so failed material cannot move on, and it produces certificates and rejection analysis.

Can held lots be blocked from dispatch?

Yes. In eManage a held lot cannot be issued, packed or invoiced until it is released.

Does it support PPAP and OEM requirements?

Yes. Lot-level inspection records, stage results and certificates support PPAP and OEM audits in the Auto Component and Tractor Parts editions.

Can inspectors use phones?

Yes. The Garment eQC app records inline and final inspections with photos, and results flow into the same quality records.

How is rework cost captured?

Rework and reprocess are recorded as events against the lot, with reason and cost, so they appear in costing.
